Dwell

A slowing of the heart in the presence of the Lord
Eternal peace in an instant of remembrance
A lifted weight relieved in a moment
From presence
How often I forget His presence
What wasted days I live fleeing from it
Forgetting its power
Forsaking its peace
So a breath will do
To draw me into the gift of dwelling
and new day of willful remembrance dawns
Lest I forget yet again
